Adeline Minwegen

Adeline O. Minwegen, 91, of Duluth, died Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in St. Paul, Minn. August 9, 1922 to Francis and Rosa (Ohr) Ohr . She was a graduate of St. Katherine's College in St. Paul. Adeline met Bertram P. Minwegen at the age of 17 years, and they were married 4 years later on October 16, 1943. They taught in small towns out West, Bert at the high school level and Adeline at the grade school level, until they moved to Duluth in 1950. Adeline was a St. Katherine Alumni and a long time member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was an accomplished photographer, loved nature and had a great enthusiasm for life. Adeline loved her husband and she was an amazing grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marie, and brother Richard. Adeline is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bert; her daughter Mara Heidi Minwegen of Duluth; her granddaughter Katherine Mara Minwegen of Los Angeles, CA; her brother Otto Carl Ohr of Duluth; and her sister-in-law Elaine Minwegen, and her family, of St. Paul. Visitation: 10 AM Friday, October 25, 2013 until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4901 E. Superior St., Duluth. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
