Amelia Lou Frankenfeld died peacefully in her sleep June 5, 2013. She was the four-and-a-half month old daughter of Candyce Rae Lake and David Frankenfeld of Duluth, Minnesota. Although she had only recently learned to laugh, Amelia was a joyful and gentle child. She loved to cuddle. She always had a smile on her face, she enjoyed being outside, and she was particularly fond of her toy zebra. She adored her big brother, Arlo Brabec. Through the miracle of her birth and short life, Amelia brought enormous joy and pride to the lives of her parents, her brother, her grandparents, three aunts and an uncle. Her departure leaves her family much sadder, but they know heaven will be a little happier graced with her presence.
Amelia is survived by her parents, brother, Arlo Brabec, grandparents, Donald & Jean Frankenfeld, Tina Rust & Steve Ritter, and Bill & Meredeth Lake, great-grandparents, Helen Lake, Roland Rust and Phyllis Frankenfeld.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 3:00 pm, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. 2nd St., Duluth. Interment to follow on 2:00 pm, Monday, June 10, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery, Alexandria near where other members of mother Candyce's family are buried. Some of Amelia's ashes will be spread in the Black Hills.
The family prefers memorials to be dedicated to Amelia's memory.
