Andy McCubbin

Andrew Roger McCubbin (Andy), age 47, of Duluth, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 26th.
Andy was the second child born to Robert (Bob) and Linda McCubbin, joining Brother Bobby and followed by Sister Jodie. Andy grew up in Woodland and attended St. John's Catholic Church with his family. As a student Andy attended and graduated from East High School and went on to specialize in auto mechanics. He was currently a devoted employee of Kolar Chevrolet.
On April 24th, 1999, Andy married the love of his life, Stephanie Anderson. Andy was father to Jenny, Paige, Abbey, and Ethan. Jenny, recently blessed him with his first grandchild, Addalynn Rose.
Andy was a gentle, kind and compassionate man who always willingly and joyfully gave of himself and his time. In his free time Andy enjoyed being with his family. He loved to take his children boating at the family cabin in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. He enjoyed gardening tomatoes and spicy peppers to be made into salsa. He loved watching NASCAR, racing cars in Brainerd and Andy enjoyed quiet nights spent with his wife.
Andy was preceded in death by his brother Bobby and his sister Jodie.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Stephanie and his children; Jenny, Paige, Abbey, and Ethan; his granddaughter, Addalynn; his parents Bob and Linda McCubbin; his father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Sharon Anderson; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tricia and Jason Peterson, his nieces and nephews; Jacob McCubbin and Alexis, Sarah, Elianna, and Jared Peterson and all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 1 at Mount of Olives Baptist Church located at 1500 Swan Lake Road. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 AM.
The Water's Edge Community Church has set up a benevolent fund for the family's immediate and long term needs. In lieu of flowers, financial gifts can be directed to The Water's Edge Community Church c/o Lakeview Christian Academy located at 155 West Central Entrance, Duluth, Minnesota 55811. Please note that the donation be made to the McCubbin family. Andy's family and friends are grateful for prayers and support at this sorrowful time.
