Ann Bailey Ringsred, age 91, of Duluth, died Monday, October 23, 2017, at the Marywood in the Benedictine Center, of cancer surrounded by her loving family.
It has been a long and courageous journey for her, but she handled her illness with grace, courage, dignity and love. She was born on March 12, 1926, in Kettle Island, Kentucky, to Henry and Bessie Bailey and was later adopted by Thomas and Frances Kimbrough. She married John Ringsred, Veteran of WWII, in 2005 in Duluth. Ann grew up and attended college in Kentucky. Ann had a heart of gold and a smile for everyone she met. She loved animals and flowers and the simple things in life. One of the biggest joys in her life was becoming reacquainted with John Ringsred, her sweetheart from the WWII years, and marrying him in 2005. They spent many nights jitterbugging the nights away in Florida before they moved back to Duluth. Ann cherished the time she spent with her family in Duluth and Kentucky and at the cabin on Pequaywan Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard Taylor; brothers and sisters, Gertrude Browning, Floyd Bailey, Rufus Ray Bailey, Betty Ruth Fulvio; half-sister, Lucille; Dunlap and half-brother, Desmond Simpson.
