Passed away on May 2, 2024 at the age of 98. She was born on July 18, 1925 to Carl and Naime Wennerstrand. She worked as a postal worker, at the local co-op and helped run the family farm. Lucille enjoyed sewing, crocheting and needle point. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward; daughter, Carlene Hildreth; infant son; and sister, Louise Niemann. Survived by son, Edward (Alice) and daughter, Karen (Marvin) Allen; grandchildren, Anissa (Jamie) Delaunois, Susan (Donald) Vonderscher, Kristen (James) Pinette, Andrew (Cherie) Hildreth, Michelle (Brian ) Brown, Nicole (Matthew) Becks, Edward L. Nemec, and Amy Nemec; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Brendan, Lauren, Dylan, Ty, Brayden, Alivia, Isabelle, Breck, Elle, and Bryer; and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at the Hummingbird in Meadowlands for their excellent care of Lucille over the years. A Visitation will be held from 5pm – 7pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, 9988 Hwy 133, Meadowlands, MN with a Rosary beginning at 6:45pm. The Visitation will continue Friday, May 17 at Church from 10am until the 11am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment at St. Josephs Cemetery, Elmer.
