Anne Murray Kuyava, 77, of Lakeside, died Friday, December 23, 2016 at Solvay Hospice House, with her family by her side. Anne was born November 15, 1939 in Duluth to George and Claire Murray. She was a graduate of Duluth Cathedral High School and attended the College of St. Benedict. Anne married her high school sweetheart, Eugene Kuyava in Duluth on April 30, 1960. She worked at St. Michael’s Church as the office manager. Anne was a lifelong member and very active in St. Michael’s Church. She volunteered at St. Michael’s Used-A-Bit Shop. She enjoyed reading, golfing, walking, became a wonderful watercolor artist later in life and most of all enjoyed going to any of her grandchildren’s activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Claire and her daughter-in-law, Jeriann Kuyava.
Anne is survived by her husband, Eugene; daughter, Kathleen (John) Lofstuen; sons, Mark (Callie), Bernard “Bub” (Lori) and Greg (Julie) Kuyava; grandchildren, Maria, Amy and David Lofstuen, Zachary, Sydney and Isabella Kuyava, Seth Sperbeck and Carli (Nick) Mann; great grandchildren, Logan, Bodie, Beckett and Layla; siblings, Tom (Marlene) Murray, Muggs (John) Ernste, Mike (Mary) Murray and Pat (Mary Beth) Murray.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7pm with Wake Prayers at 6:00pm at St. Michael’s Church, 4901 E Superior St., Duluth. Visitation will continue Wednesday also at St. Michael’s from 10am till the 11am Mass of Christian Burial. Memorials are preferred and may be directed to Anne’s family.
