April Wicklund

April Wicklund was born on September 10, 1961 to Russell Norman Johnson and Barbara Marilyn Dinehart. April grew up in the central hillside attended Duluth central high school where she graduated from in 1979. April worked at Kmart in the Miller Hill Mall for a short period as a deli prep person. April met her longtime soul mate Lewis Wicklund in 1981. They were married in July of 1982 this was a beautiful wedding. The year was 1986 and their son Don Wicklund was born and came into their life. From there April and family moved to Solon Springs Wisconsin. April enjoyed many things but her passion was Rock-n-Roll music she loved Ozzy Osburne 60's if you will. April loved to swimming and outdoor cookouts spending time with family and friends. April loved humor she always loved a good laugh or two.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Johnson.

April is survived by and will be sadly missed by her mother, Barbara Johnson; brother, Vaughn Johnson (Barb Braun); her husband, Lew of 31 years; her son, Don Wicklund; niece Danielle (Michael) Hartman; nephew, Dustin Johnson & Delani Eickstadt; uncles, Jon Johannessen, Dwight (Mary Lee) Dinehart.

Gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 pm until the 2:00 pm Memorial Service Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel, 600 E. 2nd Street Duluth, MN 218-727-3555.
