Bernard Schubitzke

Bernard Michael Schubitzke, 91, of Duluth, passed away April 25, 2016. Bernie was born in Duluth, MN, Sept. 29, 1924 to Frank and Pauline (Czkalski).
Bernie attended Central High School, he then entered the Army Air Force in 1943, upon being honorably discharged in 1946. After, his time in the service he started his career at International Harvester. He then worked at Peterson Brothers, Clark Lift, and Harbor City Oil. He was an altar boy and lifelong member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Bernie loved his, animals, El Camino, and visiting his friends after church.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Donna; 2 infant sons; step son, Jack; sister, Mary; brothers, Paul, Clarence, Edward, Frank, Lawrence.
Bernie is survived by children, Mark (Michelle), and Jill (Jerry); step children, Rick, and Claudia (Bob), Jeanie; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM, Saturday, April 30, 2016, with visitation one hour prior in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 325 E 3rd St, Duluth, MN 55805.
