Bernice Le Garde

Bernice Evelyn Le Garde, 81, of Grand Portage, Minn  died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Northshore Care Center in Grand Marais.  She was born September 5, 1936 in Cloquet, Minn to Sven and Cecilia (La Sage) Hendrickson.  Bernice married Gordon Le Garde.. She worked as a receptionist at the Grand Portage Community Center.  She was a devout catholic and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Grand Portage.    She enjoyed playing bingo, and she was a great cook.  She was always there for her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with them.  Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, her children:  Andre, Gordon, Jr., Victoria Le Garde Raske and Kathleen Le Garde, and her husband Gordon on September 4, 2004.  She is survived by her grandchildren:  Adam Le Garde and Lynette Le Garde, both of Black River Falls, WI. and Heather Hoaglund of Grand Portage; five great-grandchildren; and her sister Geraldine Kozlowski of Grand Portage.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday (today) at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Grand Portage, with burial in the church cemetery.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, 218-727=3555
