Beverly Billman

Beverly Jean Billman, age 79, of Edgewood Vista, formerly of Two Harbors, died Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospice. She was born June 9, 1935 in Big Lake, Minn. to Delmar and Eva (Mattson) Bjerk. Beverly was a graduate of Proctor High School. Following high school, she worked at the Medical Arts Pharmacy. She married Timothy A. Billman March 19, 1955. Together they cared for many foster children. Beverly worked for St. Louis County in home health care for 9 years. She served as President of the Women's Auxillary Optimist Club and President of the Hermantown AFS. In Two Harbors, she was active in the Lakeview Memorial Hospital Auxillary, President of the Arthritis Foundation, and volunteered at AEOA. She was active with United Church of Two Harbors and currently a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Duluth.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tim in 2011; her siblings: Richard, Marian, James, Ronald, Gerald, Fran and Sharon.
Beverly is survived by her children: Jeanette (John) Boynton of Duluth, Claudia (Don) Luoma of Two Harbors, and Dennis (Colleen) Billman of Shelbey, Montana; grandchildren: Tim (Mandi), Christina and Nick Luoma, Ashley and Whitney Billman, Katie Scinocca, Luke (Christina) Boynton, Lindsey (Jamie) Erbach and Chet (Kacie) Boynton; great-grandchildren: Tim, Kalie, Isabelle, Angela, Quinn, Hazel, Spencer, Fletcher and Dexter; and a special niece Cynthia.
Beverly's family extends a special thanks to the staff of St. Luke's Hospice and Edgewood Vista.
Visitation: 5-7 PM Monday, June 8th at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Tuesday, June 9th from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial service at United Church of Two Harbors, 531 3rd. Ave. Burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E. Second St., Duluth, 727-3555.
