Beverly Anne Kamp, 90, of Duluth, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Saint Ann’s Residence. She was born January 10, 1927 in Minneapolis, MN. to Marguerite E. (Bergeron) and Alfred J. Louiselle. A Duluth resident since 1957, she had worked for HBJ Press (Advanstar Communications) for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She and her husband owned and operated the Kamp’s Hobby Crafts in Proctor for about 12 years. While in Proctor she was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. A talented musician, Beverly sang and played the organ for many years at local catholic churches, taught piano and organ lessons, played for dance recitals in local theater productions, and was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s. Beverly was a very social person who made friends with everyone. She kept her family in laughter with her many comical escapades, both real and imagined. She felt the most important things in life were faith and family and she kept both close to her heart. She will long be remembered for her extraordinary love for babies. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gerald Louiselle, her son-in-law Sam Solon, and her husband George. Beverly is survived by her children: Yvonne Prettner Solon of Iron River, WI, Gary (Terri Schaffer) of Scottsdale, AZ, Gregory (Claudia) of Duluth, Daniel (Muffett) of Duluth, Jon (Lisa) of Proctor, and Sherry (Philip) Larson of Proctor; her special daughter Terri Willoughby of Duluth; her brothers Bruce (Mary) Louiselle of Virginia State and Keith (Carole) Louiselle of Florida; her sister-in-law Shirley Louiselle of Minneapolis; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly’s family extends a special thank-you to the staff of Saint Ann’s, Dr. Stephen Carlson, and all the physicians at Essentia Health for their care of their mother.
