Bruce A. Maki, 73, of Duluth, died Monday, December 04, 2017. He was born May 12, 1944 in Duluth, MN to George and Gladys Maki.
Bruce graduated from Duluth Central High School. Married Beatrice Maki December 19, 1970. They had twin boys Blaine and Brian born April 11, 1971. Worked at Zalk Josephs until they closed, then went and worked at the DTA as a bus driver until retiring in 2007. He was a proud union member of the Teamsters.
Bruce enjoyed gardening, camping, both lake and ice fishing, hunting, and good conversation at the table over a cup of coffee. He was a great story teller and always had a joke ready, and he made sure everyone who stopped by saw his "million dollar view of Lake Superior".
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Bea, and son Blaine.
Survived by son Brian, his wife Stephanie, and their son Bryce of Proctor, granddaughter Sydney and her mother Lucinda Zobel of Cloquet, twin sister Patty (John) Cooper of Duluth, his sibling-in-laws, Bob, Kenny, Harry, Judy, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 5-7PM, Thursday, December 7, 2017 visitation will continue Friday 10 AM until the 11AM funeral service in the Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd Street, Duluth, MN, 55805.
