Carol Archibald

Carol Ann Archibald, 80, of Duluth, died on Friday February 5, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on March 8, 1940 in Duluth to Axel and Edith Eckholm. She was a member of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church and an active resident of Woodland Garden Apartments. Carol was famous amongst her grandchildren for her delicious dirt cake. She loved to both call and play Bingo, she enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She will be remembered as the Lunch Lady at Homecroft School, and the Laundry Lady at the Soap Box by many.
Carol is survived by her children June (Brian Schaumberg) Boyce, Pam McKeever, Mike (Tracy Goulet) Archibald, and Bill (April) Archibald, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many different children she took in and cared for, a sister Shirley, several nieces and nephews, and ex husband and good friends Bill and Iris Archibald.
Visitation will be held on Friday February 19, 2021 from 5PM to 7PM in Dougherty Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday February 20, 2021 at Oneota Cemetery.
