Carol Lilyroth

Carol M. (Nordeen) Lilyroth, 72, of Kenwood Ave, died unexpectedly April 18, 2015, while on vacation in Weslaco, TX. Carol was born August 3, 1942 in Duluth and was raised by her grandparents after her mother died. She graduated from Hermantown High School and received a degree in English from UMD. She had taught at East High School for a time and retired from St. Louis County Social Services as an intake specialist. Carol enjoyed sailing, reading, gardening, bowling, skiing and traveling. She loved learning other languages and was always on a quest for knowledge. Carol was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Larry, her parents and grandparents.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Cara (Jay) Seiler and Maren (Joseph) Marinucci; her son, David Longsio; her grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Seiler and Emily and Andrew Marinucci; her sister, Marcy (Tom) Bennett; Carol's partner, Larry Watczak and his son, Eric (Cindy) Watczak and their son Kolton.
