Carolyn Sue Lassman

On August 8th, 2024, surrounded by her family, Carolyn was called home to heaven. 

Carolyn was born to Irma & Bill Stottlemeyer on May 21st, 1935 in Elwood, Indiana. She was the second eldest of four children. Carolyn met the love of her life Lonnie, while she was in nursing school & he was in seminary. He was surely waiting at heavens gates for her. Over the years Carolyn had been involved in Bible studies, quilting circles, and volunteering where she could. Carolyn has held many roles in her life : daughter, sister, aunt, friend, nurse, and so many more. Though her favorite titles by far are mom & grandma.

Carolyn was mom to David, Marie, Preston & Leisa. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her immense joy. Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and grace. The family would also like to thank the village of people who loved, supported, and cared for Carolyn.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 11 am, followed by funeral service at 12 pm at Park Hill Cemetery chapel. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Family of God Lutheran Church (4907 Martin Rd, Duluth, MN 55803)
