Caryl Kolquist

Caryl Erna Kolquist, 91, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.  She was born April 27, 1926 in Duluth to parents Carl and Erna Zuck.  She was baptized and confirmed in Mt. Olive English Lutheran Church.  Caryl graduated from Central High School and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.  She was united in marriage to Wallace Kolquist on June 11, 1949 and together they raised their six children. A lifelong resident of Duluth, she also spent many winters in Sarasota, FL.  Caryl enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafting, and was a great cook and baker.  She enjoyed bowling and golfing, especially when she had two hole-in-ones.  She cherished her family more than anything and loved entertaining both family and friends.  Caryl was preceded in death by her husband Wally, son Kevin, her parents and brothers Roger (Lil) Zuck and twin brother Carl (Bud) Zuck.  She is survived by her children Lynette (Mike) Kreidler of North Oaks, MN, Tim (Sue) Kolquist, (Cindy Kolquist) of Duluth, Jon (Sue) Kolquist of FL, Lori (Paul) Hagen of Eden Prairie, MN, and David (Diane) Kolquist of Hermantown; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law Clifford (Audrey) Kolquist and Roger (Barb) Kolquist; sisters-in-law Joyce Zuck, Dawn Kolquist and Pat Kolquist.
