Cathryn Kupczynski

Cathryn M. Kupczynski, 97, of Duluth died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Chris Jensen Health Center, Duluth. Cathyrn was born October 8, 1919 in Gilbert to Marco and Marie Biondich. She graduated from Gilbert High School. Cathryn Married Edward Kupczynski in Gilbert and they moved to Duluth after WW II. She worked at Lowell MacArthur Elementary until moving to Cathedral High school in 1963, where she retired as a food superintendent. She was a member of St. Lawrence Church; she enjoyed cooking, especially making fried chicken on Sunday’s at the cabin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marco and Marie; sisters, Mary, Sophie and Ann; her brother, John and Her Husband Ed in 1993.
Cathyrn is survived by her son, Richard J.; grandchildren, Holly Ann (Eric) Swanson and Lee (Kimberly) Kupczynski; great grandchildren, Kaden, Madison and Branden and sisters, Betty Jean (Govie) Olson and Elizabeth Deanovic.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Friday, at St. Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd. Duluth. Visitation one hour prior to service. Cathryn will be buried with her husband Ed at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
