Charleen Joan (Johnson) Seely, 81, Solon Springs, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her home. She was born September 7, 1936 to Charles and Eileen Johnson in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from St. Scholastica in 1956 and worked as an x-ray technician before marrying junior high sweetheart John Seely in 1959. For 30 years, Charleen was the consummate officer’s wife, creating homes in several countries and multiple states, including Libya, Norway and Hawaii, while John served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
Charleen was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Margaret (“Toots”) Bauers. She is remembered by her husband John, daughters Lynn Seely (Jim Schulz), Laureen Seely (Dave Mitbo), LaDonna Seely; grandchildren Ashlynn, Joey, Jenna, Johnny; and great-grandson Jackson.
A GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS will be Monday, December 18, 2017 from 2–4 PM at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E.
