Charlene Mechley

Charlene Jessica Mechley, 11, of Duluth, died tragically on Wednesday, December 3, in her home along with her father Michael Mechley.

Charlene was born February 21, 2003 in Duluth to Tricia (Lund) Anderson and Michael (Cozzi) Mechley She was a 6th grader at Ordean - East Middle School in Duluth.

Charlene loved baking, crafts, reading, and playing the violin. She loved the outdoors, swinging, doing chores, building forts, swimming and eating candy at Papa and Nana's house. We lost a little girl, Heaven gained an Angel.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Mechley, Paternal Great-Grandmother Dolores Lund, and Everett (Edward) Bergren.

Charlene is survived by her mother, Tricia and step-father Aaron Anderson of Lake Nebagamon, WI; sister and brother Karley and Noah Mechley; maternal grandmother, Deborah Luick (Greg Wilson) of Duluth; Maternal Grandfather Edward (Sherry) Lund of Superior, WI; paternal grandfather, Larry Cozzi Sr. of Duluth; Paternal step-grandparents, Joy and Allen Anderson of Lake Nebagamon, WI; Aunts; Theresa (Cliff) Rhodes, Lisa Miller, Crystal Lund, Samantha Lund, and Uncles; Kevin Luick, Larry (Dee) Cozzi Jr, Richard (Renee) Cozzi. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Visitation for Charlene and her father Michael will be Friday, December 12, from 5-7pm , Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth.

A Memorial service for Charlene will be held Monday, December 15, 11am Trinity Lutheran Church, 11416 E 1st St. N., Lake Nebagamon, WI.
