Charles Lufholm

Charles F. Lufholm, 81 of Schultz Lake, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in his beloved Schultz Lake home, surrounded by his family. Charlie was born Oct. 5, 1930 in Duluth to Henry and Gertrude Lufholm. He was a graduate of Central High School. After high school he, followed his fathers footsteps and joined the apprentice program to be a bricklayer. He worked for J.D. Herold and retired in 1992 from Hedenberg Construction after many years. Charlie also served Minnesota Air National Guard. He married Dolores Dahlberg in 1955. Charlie loved to FISH! He also enjoyed wood working, snowmobiling, Building and flying RC airplanes with his brother Peter; riding around the lake on the Barnaby a wooden boat he made and he had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude, when he was 14 and his father and step-mother, Henry and Eldora; brothers, Donald and Ward. Charlie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dolores; children, Robert (Brenda), Raeanne (Eldon) Abrahamsen, Jim (Patti) and Kathryn (Brian) Sodahl; grandchildren, John (Stephanie), Travis, Samantha, Chelsea, Alexis, Daniel, Michael (Erin), Rachael, Nicholas (Andrea), and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Kennedy and Cadan; sister, Janet (Earl) Carter and his brother, Peter (Patricia), and many nieces, nephews and friends. VISITATION: 1 p.m. Sunday with services at 2 p.m. in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 219 N 6th Ave. East, Duluth, followed by Military honors accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard.
