Charlotte Nemmers

Charlotte "Char" Jean McMahon Nemmers, age 94, of Duluth, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born in Duluth February 15, 1919 to Axel E. and Arvida C. (Carlson) Anderson. Char was a 1937 graduate of Duluth Central High School. She retired from St. Louis County Federal Savings and Loan Association in 1981 after a long career. She was a long time former member of St. John's Catholic Church, as well as St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Char was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Herbert and Harvey Anderson; her sons-in-law Jim Laulunen and John Willman; and her husbands William Bernard McMahon on July 21, 2001, and Bernard O. Nemmers on April 20, 2010.
Char is survived by her daughters Janice Laulunen of Duluth and Mary Willman of San Diego, CA; her sons Ronald (Sharee) McMahon of Eagle, ID. and Richard (Fran) McMahon of Waukesha, WI; her brother Fred C. (Jean) Anderson of Duluth; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 1:30 pm until the 2 pm funeral service at St. Ann's Assisted Living Chapel. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
