Christine Ann Nilsen (Miller)

Our dear mother Christine Ann Nilsen (Miller), age 72, of Duluth sadly passed away on March 18, 2023 after a long courageous battle with liver cancer with her family by her side. She was born in Duluth to Rodney and Elaine Miller on January 8^th, 1951. She graduated from East High School in 1969. Chris was an avid UMD Men’s Bulldog Hockey fan, and she enjoyed collecting dolls and antiques. One of her greatest passions was her vegetable and flower garden. Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren with whom she adored spending time.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her two daughters; Julie (Mark) DeRoche and Carrie (Robert) Misuraco. Her sister Susan (Ed) Diebold, Tom (Kristen) Miller, and Scott Miller. Grandchildren; Kayla Elaine DeRoche, Dylan Mark DeRoche, Nicholas Fredrick Misuraco. Nieces and nephews; Brittany Abrams, Kelli Dawson, Blake, Madison, and Jackson Miller.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to her doctors who were with us along the way and all the 8E (NTICU) nurses at Essentia Health St. Mary’s and her care team at the Mayo Clinic.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 25^th from 10:30-12:00 with a memorial service to follow at The Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd. 1325 45^th Ave. East Duluth, MN.
