Christopher Michael Sauve

Christopher Michael Sauve, 39, of Duluth, MN, lost his battle with addiction on August 31, 2022. Chris was born on February 13, 1983, in Two Harbors, MN, and graduated from Duluth Central High School in 2001. He attended Lake Superior College and obtained his CDL.

Chris will be remembered for his compassion, his deep caring for his family, his intelligence, and for his many talents. His unexpected and tragic passing does not define who Chris was, and he will live forever in our hearts and memories.

Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Vince and Mary Sauve; grandparents, Reed and Frances Lamberson; and his uncle, Chuck Lamberson.

Surviving Chris are his parents, Mike (Twila) Sauve and Helen (Bryce) Makela; brothers, Joe and Jesse (Leslie) Sauve; sisters, Mara (Jordan) Schneidermann and Dani (Ian) Metry; step-siblings, Anne (Mike Moore) Furuseth, Erik (Gena), Nathan, and Brent Makela; nephews, Noble and Sawyer Sauve and Beckett Schneidermann; niece, Romy Sauve; and numerous, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Service will be held at Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St, Duluth, MN, on Friday, September 16, with visitation at 4:00 p.m. and memorial service at 5:00 p.m.

Our family wishes that if you have a family member or friend who is experiencing addiction, continue reaching out to them persistently, even if they say they are okay. We love you, Chris, always and forever.
