Clyde P. Larson, 62 of Hermantown, died Suddenly on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home after a short illness. Clyde was born December 1, 1954 in Minneapolis to Dexter and Wanda Larson. They moved to Hermantown in 1970 and Clyde graduated from Hermantown in 1972. He went on to Duluth Vo-Tec, where he received training in welding. He married Ann Tessier on October 22, 1977. Clyde worked for Burlington Northern and the DMIR RR as a brakeman, retiring in 1994. He joined Courtney LaCourse and Envall, working as a consultant. He was a member of St. Lawrence Church, United transportation Union, Moose and the Railroad Retirees. Clyde enjoyed watching westerns; spending time at the cabin, pontoon rides and most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Scott (Jen), Eric (Lindsey) and Corey (Jean); grandchildren, Dexter and Gus; his parents, Dexter and Joanne Larson; brothers, Joel (Susan) and Mikkel (Beth) and his sisters, Karen Larson and Kathy Bosch.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7pm with Wake Prayers at 5 pm at Dougherty Funeral Home , 600 East 2nd Street Duluth MN. Visitation will continue Wednesday at St. Lawrence, starting at 10am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
