Corinne Yvonne Hood was born September 11th, 1942 in Duluth, Minnesota to Herbert A and Mary C. (Hoolihan) Beaudry and passed away unexpectedly while surrounded by family on September 17th, 2021 at the age of 79.
Corinne attended Holy Rosary grade school and graduated from Stanbrook Hall High School affiliated with the College of St. Scholastica, in Duluth.
She married David Robert Hood on October 26th, 1963.
While raising her four children, Corinne loved volunteering at Endion School Library & PTA, Mrs. Jaycees, & Lower Chester Hockey Rink. She worked with several local florists before moving on to work and eventually retire from the Social Services Department at St. Mary’s Hospital. Her coworkers became cherished friends, and she enjoyed any time spent with them.
After retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the Monastery at St. Scholastica where she planted and maintained some of their beautiful gardens and was a volunteer driver for the Benedictine Sisters.
Corinne had a passion for gardening. In the garden is where she felt at home. She was the kindest of souls. Her ability to see the goodness in people was a true gift and her generosity and loyalty was genuine.
Corinne has 9 grandchildren, Courtney, Caroline, Darby, Isabelle, Molly, William, Hattie, Declan, & Connor who have always been her pride and joy.
Corinne was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Beaudry. She is survived by her husband, David; her children: Lynn (Bob) Henderson of Duluth, Jeff of Minneapolis, Deb (Karl) Bodin of Andover, MN and Chris (Megan) of Bayport, MN; and her siblings: Mary Louise Boisjoli, Bill Beaudry, Bernadette Mohney and Jane Lindborg.
The Family extends its thanks to the Essentia Health Cardiovascular Intensive Care Team for their care and compassion for Corinne and her family at the end of her life.
Visitation: Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10am-11am, followed at 11am with the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel, St. Scholastica Monastery.
