Corrine M. (Connie) Stemper, 67, Proctor, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospital. Corrine Marie Robatcek was born July 11, 1944 in St. Cloud, Minn., the daughter of Anthony and Veronica (Minke) Robatcek. She was raised by Robert and Lois Williams. She grew up and graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral High School in 1962. She moved to Duluth and attended Duluth Beauty School. She married Milton Stemper on Sept. 24, 1966 in Nashwauk. They made their home in Duluth. She was a beautician at Maurices Beauty Salon for many years. She later was a special education assistant for I.S.D. #709. Connie retired in 1990. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Proctor. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, gardening, and was a great baker. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and adopted father, Robert Williams. She is survived by her sons, Mike (Chris) Stemper of Duluth, Robert (Michelle) Stemper of Proctor, and Scott (Beatriz) Stemper of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; adopted mother, Lois Williams of Nashwauk, Minn.; siblings, Linda (Dick) Rowe of Neekoosa, Wis., Mary Trettle of Sauk Rapids, Minn., Debbie Robatcek of Maple Grove, Minn., Edward Robatcek of Neekoosa, Wis., Tony (Jeanne) Williams of Elk River, Minn., Robbie (Terry) Sullivan of Nashwauk, Minn., and Leah (William) Klein of Duluth; six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rose Catholic Church, 3 Sixth Avenue, Proctor. Burial will be at Oneota Cemetery, Duluth.
