Cynthia "Cyndy" Anne Castro, Iron River, WI, at the all too young age of 57, on Saturday, December 7, 2013 fell asleep to this existence. She awoke shining and whole in the light of her Redeemer, a day she has lived for since her conversion to Catholicism in 1973. Her character will long be remembered as one of quiet strength, humility and a giving soul, attributes which assisted her greatly through her 19 years of homeschooling. She was active in her community, participating in numerous Oulu Community Theater productions, 4 H activities, CCD at St. Michael's Catholic Church and World Wide Marriage Encounter. Cyndy was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Anne Rones, a stillborn sister and a miscarried son. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Leonard "John"; 6 children: Paula (Lee) Dalbec, Cat (Thomas) Lippincott, Sarah Castro, Alexander (Amanda) Castro, Judith (Brian) Chaney and Joey (Adrianna ) Castro. She also leaves behind 11 adored grandchildren; and 5 siblings: James (Nancy) Rones, Patricia (Greg) Wilton, Thomas (Julie) Rones, Linda (Bill Sinnett) Bergman and Scott Rones; and many cherished family and friends, including the "Oulu" ladies, St. Michael's Alter and Rosary Society, and her W.W.M.E. "Circle" family. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 5-7pm at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Iron River, WI. Visitation continues on Wednesday, December 11th from 9 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's. Burial will be in St. Michael Catholic Church Cemetery, Iron River.
