Daniel Connolly

Daniel Patrick Connolly passed away on Feb. 27th, 2013 at the age of 53 in Duluth Minnesota after battling sarcoma cancer.

Dan was born in Vermillion South Dakota to Thomas William Jr. and Mary Patricia Connolly, their fourth child and third son. Raised on the family's farm, he attended school through graduation at Elk Point High School. Continuing his education, he attained an Electronics Engineer Technician degree from Denver Institute of Technology in Colorado. Moving back to Minnesota in 1979 he met his wife, Denise O'Neil, who he married April 25th, 1981 and had a successful 31 years of marriage. Having settled in Duluth Minnesota 6 years later, he was the father of four daughters, moved into his dream home where he resided for the next 20 years, and started his own small business. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, biking and being home with his family. He excelled as a father, husband, "Bapa" and friend; he was highly personable and had a gift of making others laugh.

Dan is survived by his mom Pat, his wife Denise, daughters Sadie, Anna, Nellie and Emily, his grandchildren Cora and Aubrey, brothers Mike and Jim, sister Rita, and now resides with his dad, Bill.

Visitation will be Monday, March 4 from 5-7 pm at St. Michael's Church in Lakeside resuming at 10 am prior to the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 5 at 11 am.
