Daniel F. Erspamer, 63, of Hermantown, a former longtime Virginia, MN resident, passed away Thursday October 23, 2014 in his residence. He was born on April 21, 1951 to E. Gordon and Jean Erspamer in Little Rock, AR. Dan had worked at Mintac as a Mechanic, Supervisor and Maintenance Planner. He had married Linda Baker in May of 1971 in Aberdeen, MD. Dan was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. Dan loved to work on cars, maintaining his home, and staying busy.
Dan was preceded in death by his father E. Gordon Erspamer, and a brother Peter.
Dan is survived by his wife Linda, sons Chad (Laura), Sean (Christiane), and Ryan (Joanne), grandchildren Nico, Tristan, Emma, Evan, Eliana, Dylan, and Noah, mother Jean Erspamer, brothers Dave (Heidi), Gordon (Trish), Mike, Paul, Roy, and Marty, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10AM until the 11AM Memorial Mass in St. Raphael's Catholic Church. 5779 Seville Road Duluth, MN 55811. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research Dr. Basem Goueli's Lab, 915 E. 1st Street Duluth, MN 55805, or the St. Luke's Foundation.
