Daniel Kurosky
March 21, 1938 — April 21, 2017
Daniel N. “Frito Dan” Kurosky, 79, of Duluth passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Solvay Hospice House on Friday April 21, 2017. He was born in Duluth on March 21, 1938 to Louis and Leona Kurosky. Dan graduated from Duluth Cathedral High School in the Class of 1956, he was a member of the hockey team and had been team captain. He had worked in Sales for Frito Lay for many years.
Dan was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the Duluth Moose and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and fishing. Dan had coached youth hockey, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed time spent at the family cabin on Island Lake with family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jim.
Dan is survived by his wife of 57 years Beverly, sons Kevin (Cheryl) and Kyle, granddaughter Kate, sister Margie Luadtke, and several nieces and nephews.
