Darla J. Fox, 85, of Duluth, died Tuesday, Feb. 27th at St. Luke’s Hospital. Darla was born Dec. 9, 1938, in Duluth to George and Lucile Lindstrom. She graduated from Minneapolis Central High School. Darla worked as a secretary at First & American National Bank, Duluth; Oliver Mining Co.; Duluth Avionics; Duluth Typewriter; was a legal secretary at, Edwards & Bodin and Hanft Fride PA for 20 years, retiring in 2003.
She met James Timothy Fox, and they were married on March 31, 1973, they enjoyed cooking and entertaining their many friends and family.
Darla enjoyed golf, knitting, she was a vivacious reader, crossword puzzles; she was a huge MN Twins fan and enjoyed spending her Saturdays listening to Jazz at the Saratoga.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George, and Lucile; husband Jim; her brother Ronnie Lindstrom USAF pilot, MIA, shot down over Laos on Jan. 2, 1970.
Darla is survived by her sister, Gail (Mike) McGivern; sister-in-law, Judy Fox; nephew Chuck Fox; niece, Jamie (Jake Nohl); nephews, Shawn, and Kal; great nieces and nephews, Griffin and Cade McGivern and Chloe` Cederstrom and Lucinda Nohl and many cousins and many dear friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 12th from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral home, where visitation will continue Wednesday from 10am to the 11am Services. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
