Deion Running

Deion Running, 22, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday May 16, 2017 in his residence.   He was born in Duluth on June 1, 1994 to Jessica Conner and Gary Running Jr...  He graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School.  Deion worked as a bar back and server at Grandma’s Sports Garden.  Deion had just passed his examine and was pursuing his childhood passion of helping others and becoming a firefighter.  He was planning on moving to Virginia Beach this fall to fulfill this dream.

He enjoyed sports including playing basketball, hockey, baseball, and softball.  Deion loved to make people laugh, he had an infectious smile.  He would light up a room and make friends with anyone.  Deion loved spending time with his family and his friends.  He loved road trips with his family. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Deion's name to MN Adult and Teen Challenge in Duluth.

Deion is survived by his parents Gary (Terri) Running Jr. of Duluth, and Jessica (Jason Holmes) Conner brother Angelo, sister Chloe, Aunt Jodie (Travis) Gerard, uncle Jason Kobe and many more aunts and uncles, close cousins Emily, Julia, Bryce and many more cousins, paternal grandparents Janet “Granny” and Gary “Bumpa” Running Sr., and Ed and Linda Kobe, maternal grandfather Willie Cameron, his girlfriend Emilee Lorentz and her family, and many friends.
