Dennis Erling Gardepy

Dennis Erling Gardepy, 80, of Duluth, MN died April 1^st, 2024. He was born in Sagola, MI on April 6^th, 1943, to Joseph and Alma Gardepy, later moving to Duluth in 1951. After graduating from Denfeld High School, Dennis went on to work in the graphic arts at Duluth Photo Engraving/Color Works. He then transitioned to car sales at Duluth Dodge for the final 10 years of his career.

Dennis married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lou (Windy) Windus, on October 17^th, 1964, and were together until her passing in 2003. Dennis was blessed to have married his second wife, Jean Jonell, on April 26^th, 2008. He was an avid enthusiast of all things: cars, motorcycles, guns, snowmobiles, the outdoors, and his faith.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Mary Lou Gardepy.

He is survived by his second wife, Jean Gardepy; daughter, Debra (Craig) Carlson; son, Joseph (Sarah) Gardepy; grandchildren, Jessica (Lane) Lundstrom, Kyle (Alyssa) Carlson, Clara and Jack Gardepy; great-grandchildren, Lakyn and Halle Lundstrom; along with Jean’s daughters, Patty and Nancy, and their families.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13^th from 12pm-1pm, with funeral service to follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Park Hill Cemetery.
