Devin Puhl

Devin John Puhl, 24, of Duluth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 19, 2019 in his home.  He was born in Duluth on June 5, 1995 to Michael Puhl and Sheila Galovich.  Devin graduated from Hermantown High School, was a U.S. Army Veteran, and worked as a Jailer at the Douglas County Jail in Superior.  Devin loved spending his time working out, hunting, fishing, hiking, and dirt biking with his brother.  Devin’s family was number one in his heart, with special respect and admiration for his sister, and an adoration for his Goddaughter, Sofina. Devin was a beautiful and gentle soul and was never without a smile for his immeasurably loved family and devoted friends who were such an important part of his life.

Devin had so many people who loved him fiercely.   He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Harold Puhl, aunt Angela Mahle.  He is survived by his father Michael (Melissa) Puhl, mother Sheila (Robert) Galovich, siblings Chelsea (Andrew) LeBlanc, Tanner Puhl, Madelyn Galovich, Zachary and Melana Rosin, niece Sofina LeBlanc, aunts and uncles Todd (Stephanie) Abernethy, Jason Mahle, Mitchell Puhl, Julie (Tim) Thoreson, and Jackie (George) Eisenmann III, paternal grandmother Donna Puhl, maternal grandparents Barry and Christine Findley, God-mother Julie Lonetto, cousins Travis (Annie), Alex (Audrey) and Kellen (Delaney) Thoreson, Rachael and George Eisenmann IV, Tucker (Cassie), Brodie and Cooper Abernethy, Emily and Brendan Mahle, Kyle and Keely Lonetto, and his beloved dog pal, Duke.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 5 - 7PM, with a 6:30PM Wake Service in Dougherty Funeral Home at 600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  Visitation will continue Tuesday September 24, 2019 from 10AM through 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Catholic Church at 2316 E. 4th St. Superior, WI 54880.  The burial will be in Oneota Cemetery, and Military Honors will be Accorded by the Duluth Honor Guard.  Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 218-727-3555.
