Passed away on August 13, 2024 at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth, MN. She was born on April 30, 1929 in Waite Park, MN. Dolores lived in Cook, MN for sixteen years until moving to International Falls. There she met the love of her life, Art Turenne Jr. They married in 1948 and raised four daughters. Dolores was an excellent cook, baker, seamstress, and crocheted many tablecloths. She was an avid reader and loved to do a bit of gambling. She enjoyed road hunting trips, fishing and planting flowers with her husband. She would do ironing for neighbors to pay for her four daughters to receive piano lessons. She previously worked at JC Penney’s, Ketolas clothing store, City Drug Store and Kmart. She also was a pin setter for the local bowling alley when she first moved to International Falls. Most recently she moved to Duluth, MN where she lived for 7 years.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Art; daughter, Janice Spehar; parents, Albert and Marie Doroff; mother and father-in-law, Arthur Sr and Alice Turenne; sisters, Jaqueline (James) Hall, Diane (Red) Beel, and Mary Lou (Larry) Cuffe; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Jeanne Senftner.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Chris Raboin) of International Falls, Mary Lou (Jerry) Jensen of Rochester, Nancy (Jay) Kolquist of Duluth; son-in-law, Richard (Cathy Eliason) Spehar of Duluth; grandchildren, Katie (Joel) DeVries of Plymouth, Thomas (Shawna) Jensen of Madison, AL, David (Rebecca) Spehar of Souix Falls, SD, Michael (Abby) Jensen of Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX, Jeffrey Raboin of International Falls, Brittany Kolquist of Duluth, and Riley (Breena) Kolquist of Duluth; great-grandchildren, Thomas Jensen Jr. of West Point, NY, Madeline Jensen, Annabelle Jensen , Audrey Jensen, Joseph Jensen, Sam Spehar, Finn Spehar, Andrew DeVries, Lucy DeVries, Letty Kolquist and one on the way; sisters, Alberta Anderson of Minneapolis, Carol Langer of Virginia, Shirley Ott of Florida; brother, Donald (Toni) Doroff of Tower; brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Mary Turenne of St. Paul.
She was so proud of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Monday, August 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W Linden St, Duluth with a Visitation beginning at 10am.
