Don Wayne Johnson

Donald W. Johnson, 85, of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully on July 26th, 2024.

Don was born on December 27th, 1938, to Harris and Ruby Johnson in Duluth, MN. He married Helen (Williams) Johnson on January 29th, 1966, in Duluth. He and Helen had two beautiful daughters, Dawn and Ronda.

Don was a member of the Minnesota National Guard for 7 years and worked for the Duluth Fire Department until his retirement in 1986.

Don was an avid golfer and enjoyed cruising and fishing on Lake Pokegama where he and Helen had their home. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his wife and daughters there.

Preceding Don in death were his parents; wife, Helen (passed away December 2023); and daughter, Dawn.

Don is survived by his daughter, Ronda; grandchildren, Drew and Alex; and several great-grandchildren.
