Donald Andrews Tedlund, 92, of Duluth passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Silver Bay surrounded by his wife and family.
He was born at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth on October 7, 1925 to Charles and Mildred Tedlund. He grew up in Duluth and graduated from Central High School in 1943. He enlisted in the US Navy and served as a signalman in World War II in the Pacific Theater. After the War, he earned his degree in accounting from the University of Minnesota. He retired as a trust officer in 1988 after 22 years at US Bank.
During retirement, he and Jean enjoyed spending time with their family, traveling, and making memories at the cabin they built together in Iron River, Wisconsin.
Don lived his life for the Lord and was a very active member at Bethel Baptist Church and most recently worshiped at Lakeview Covenant Church.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Kristopher Olson, and sister-in-law Donna Tedlund.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean; children Tom (Robin) Tedlund, Julie (Tim) Olson and Dave (Shari) Tedlund; grandchildren Ben Olson, Kris (Ray) Erickson, Tyler Tedlund, Kasey Tedlund; great grandson Soren Erickson; brother William Tedlund; nieces and nephew.

VISITATION: 4-6PM Sunday, October 22nd at Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation continues Monday, October 23rd from 10AM until the 11AM funeral service at Dougherty Funeral Home.
