Donna Brouse

Donna "Arlene" Brouse, 78, of Superior, formerly of Tower-Soudan and Duluth died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Essentia Hospice, Duluth, surrounded by her family. Arlene was born March 25, 1935 in Ukiah, California. She met Carl R. Brouse in the state of Washington and they were married in October 1971 and they moved to Duluth in 1972. While in California, Arlene worked as a waitress at the Big Cheese and in Duluth Arlene waitressed at the Bellows and the Mirror Lounge (now known as R.T. Quinlan's). She enjoyed playing Farkle, Bingo, slots; she loved animals and beadwork.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 2009.
Arlene is survived by her children, Nancy Wade, Nora Parrish, Robert "Smokey" Hydrick, Sheryl (Mark) Peterson and Carl R. Brouse Jr.;
Grandchildren, Lisa, Julie, Jackie, Jessica, David, Stacy, Haileigh, Madison and Macy and 11 great grandchildren and her best friend "Zolinda"..
The family would like to thank the staff at Essentia Hospice and I.C.U. for their loving care of Arlene.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 12 noon and continue until the 1pm services at the Dougherty Funeral Home. Interment at Sunrise Memorial Park.
