Dora Allen

Dora M. Allen, 90, of Hermantown, passed away on Monday July 28, 2014 in Essentia Health, Miller-Dwan Hospital. She was born in Duluth on August 13, 1923 to John and Pamela Kucharski. Dora married Farrell Allen on May 5, 1951. She had worked at the shipyards during WWII, Zins Master Bakery, St. Mary's Hospital, 3M, and at Northern Drug as a stockperson. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, in Duluth Heights, and the 55 Club. Dora was a die-hard Twins fan, she enjoyed watching NASCAR, and the Vikings. The family wishes to extend a special Thank-You to the nurses at the Miller-Dwan Burn Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Farrell, and brothers Ernest and Ray Kucharski.

She is survived by her children Terry (Chris) Allen of Duluth, Darrell (Barb) Allen of Esko, Lynn (John) Lund of Duluth, Kimberly (Todd) Larson of Canyon, and Pixie (Vivian) Allen of Ft. Collins, CO, sister Donna Kucharski of Union City, CA, sister-in-laws Vivian Kucharski of Proctor, and Beverly McMann of Duluth, grandchildren Christopher (Joanna), Glen (Cindy), Charlene (Shawn), Michelle, Matthew, Elizabeth, and Brian, and great-grandchildren Veronica and SJ.
