Doris Nord

Doris M Nord, 87 of Fridley, died at home December 7, 2014 from
complications of COPD. Preceded in death by parents Tyra and
Gust Peterson, husband Dick and son Garry. Survived by son Steve
(Annie), daughter Nancy McComber (Chris), daughter-in-law
Becky Weis Nord, grandchildren Max, Sam and Josephine Nord,
Joan Marie Banez, Ryan, Danny, Jared and Cade McComber, and
Sylvi Nord.

Doris graduated from South High in 1945 and married Dick Nord
in 1949. The family moved to Fridley in 1958. Doris loved
playing bridge and would often win the pot (all of a quarter) on
Fridays. Doris also was the perennial winner of the "World's best
Mother-in-law" award as decided by judges Annie, Chris and
Becky.

Doris wanted to especially thank Sandy Farris for the wonderful
care and companionship she provide the past 3 years.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm in the Thomson-
Dougherty Funeral Home, 2535 Park Ave., Mpls, MN, where
visitation will continue Friday from 10am to the 11am services.
