Dorothy Gorny

Dorothy Jean Archer Gorny 88, passed away June 17, 2018.

Dorothy was born and raised in Duluth, Mn. She married her husband in 1951. She had many interests throughout her life. She loved camping, fishing and golfing. She enjoyed needlework and was a wonderful baker. During their retirement years they enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Their retirement years were based out of Mission, Tx but the Duluth, Mn area always drew them north in the summer time.

She was preceded in death by her father Ted Archer, mother Myrtle Carlson Archer, brother Ted Archer and son James Gorny.

She is survived by her husband Edward Gorny, daughters - Jackie Hulett and Mary (Bill) Fish, sons - Ed (Vickie) Gorny, Jerry (Sue) Gorny, Tim (Lorna) Gorny and Don (Sheila) Gorny, as well as 17 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 25, 2018 from 5PM to 7PM with a 6:30 Rosary Recitation in Dougherty Funeral Home.  600 E. 2nd St. Duluth, MN 55805.  Visitation will continue Tuesday June 26, 2017 from 10AM until the 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. John’s Catholic Church. 4230 St. John’s Ave. Duluth, 55803.
