Douglas R. Olson 42, of Aurora CO, formally of Duluth, MN passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Doug was born in Duluth, February 10, 1973. Living in the Northland, he enjoyed playing hockey at Lower Chester, where he would spend entire days at the rink, shooting a million pucks. One of his favorite things was spending time at the cabin swimming and 4 wheeling.
Doug graduated from Duluth Central and was employed as a roofer with Home Beautifiers. Always a hard worker, free spirit, and a person who marched to a different drummer, Doug loved tattoos, going fast, his Harley, and his children. Eventually Doug moved to Colorado, where he was employed as a cook for the Cheese Cake Factory. Colorado became a great fit for him; he loved it there. Doug will be missed by those who loved him unconditionally.
He was preceded in death by, his wife Winona grandparents, Robert and Irene Daugherty, Donald Olson; and his grandson, Oshan.
Doug is survived by, children, Don (Jessica), Heather (Brandon), Zach, and Jasmine; parents, Rick and Betty Olson; grandmother, Lois Olson; brother, David (Paige); special aunt, Barb, and Karen; Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his special friend Carissa.
A special thanks to good friend Jason, Mom, and Dylan, for all of their support and help.
Service will be 11AM, Monday, May 4, 2015, with visitation one hour prior, in the Dougherty Funeral Home, burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
