Duane Bosiacki

Duane Eugene Bosiacki, 80, of Hermantown, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 14, 2018 at home.  He was born March 29, 1938 in Duluth to Anton and Beatrice (Hawley) Bosiacki.  Duane married Phyllis C. Bieniek on May 14, 1960 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Duluth.  In his younger years he was a member of the Golden Gloves Boxing Club.  He coached the Hermantown Community hockey and Little League for many years.  Duane was an avid Minnesota sports fan, as well as an avid Hermantown hockey fan.  He was a member of UFCW.  He enjoyed spending time at his cabin on Island Lake.  Duane and Phyllis enjoyed traveling in their motor home, and after retirement, they enjoyed taking bus trips.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Duane is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis; his daughter Cheryl (Mark) Billman; his sons, Duane (Karen), Chris, and Craig (Bonnie); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his sister Marlene Sorenson; his brother Richard; and his dog Rosie.
