Edna Shoberg

Edna M. Shoberg, 92 of Cloquet, passed away peacefully with family by her side Thursday, September 20, 2018.  She was born in Marcus, Iowa on August 9, 1926 to Raphael and Hattie Arnold.

Edna and Raymond made their home on the Iron Range and enjoyed their retirement on McCormack Lake for nearly 40 years.  Edna set an example of loving unconditionally, appreciating the beauty around us, and knowing that family is everything.  She was unwavering in her positivity and showed it by teaching her children and grandchildren to enjoy life’s daily, simple blessings.  Edna’s wit, grace, and belief in the good in this world will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings.

Edna is survived by husband, Raymond Shoberg; children, Michael (Lucia) Shoberg, Margie (Dave) Eberhardt, Jeff (Judy) Shoberg, Bret (Ann) Shoberg, Faye (Cosmo) Di Fazio; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Edna’s family wishes to thank all the wonderful caregivers at Primrose Retirement Community, New Perspective Senior Living and Sunnyside Health Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 102 4th St, Cloquet, MN 55720, with visitation one-hour prior. A private graveside service will take place later, in Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, MN.
