Edward E. Olson, 62, of Duluth, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, in Duluth.Edward Everett Olson was born Nov. 10, 1949, in Duluth, the son of Ernest and Shirley (Ellquist) Olson. He grew up in Hovland and Grand Marais.He served in the United States Navy and later returned to Duluth. He worked for AT&T for many years and later worked at Fond du Luth Casino and Onieda Realty Company.He was an avid fan of all sports and enjoyed watching it on TV.He was preceded in death by his parents.Edward is survived by his wife, Jollette; sister Sheryl (Dwight) Smith of Grand Marais; and nieces Lori (Jason) Yecoshenko of Duluth and Kari (Brian) Backstrom of Belvidere, Ill.VISITATION: 5-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, in Dougherty Funeral Home. Visitation continues at 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1325 N. 45th Ave. E., Duluth. Burial at Ft.
