Edward A. "Ed" Ruisi

Edward A. “Ed” Ruisi, 93, formerly of Duluth, passed away peacefully on Friday November 29, 2024, at the Three Links Care Center, Northfield, MN. He was born on March 14, 1931, in Westerly, RI to Dr. John and Renata Ruisi. Ed graduated from Ward High School and Cheshire Academy, then served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Tarawa. Ed worked as a Steamship Agent with Guthrie Hubner from 1959 until he retired and made many friends in the shipping industry. He was a very active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, and enjoyed reading, listening to classical music, opera, and he collected Vatican stamps.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother John Joseph Ruisi.

Ed is survived by his son John (Katie) Ruisi of Waterville, MN, grandchildren Kendra Gibson, Lillian Ruisi, Joseph Ruisi, and Harriett Ruisi, sister L. Renata Bradley, stepbrother Robert Riccio, and a stepsister Nancy Mazzoni, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday December 14, 2024, from 10AM until the 11AM Mass in St. Michael’s Catholic Church. 4901 E. Superior St. Duluth, MN 55804. Interment will be in St. Sebastion Cemetery, Westerly, RI at a later date.
