Edwina Cameron

Edwina Cameron, 77, of Duluth, died Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Essentia St. Mary's with her family by her side. Edwina was born January 30, 1937 in Laurel, Mississippi to Henry and Clara (Brinkley) Porter and she moved to Duluth in 1956. She married Willie Lee Cameron in Duluth on September 14, 1958.
Edwina was a member of Calvary Baptist Church; she enjoyed shopping, bingo, rummage and estate sales, cooking, baking, playing cards, but most of all spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie Lee in 2005; son, Russell in 1997 and step daughter, Eva Cameron in 2009.
Edwina is survived by her children, Willie Cameron Jr., Mary Cameron, Roland Johnson, Christina Johnson, Patricia Cameron-Johnson, Julie (Floyd) Edmund, Ray Cameron, Royce (Michelle) Cameron, Sandra Cameron and Ronald (Kristi) Cameron. 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; her loving pet "Amira" and many friends.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home, where visitation will continue Friday from 10am to the 11am Service. Burial at Sunrise Memorial Park. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 600 E 2nd St. Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
