Eileen DeBoer

Eileen F. DeBoer, 93 of Duluth, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Viewcrest Health Center, Duluth with her family by her side.  Eileen was born October 17, 1924 to Edward and Mary Henrichs.  She graduated from Duluth Denfeld High School.  She met and married Richard DeBoer on January 18, 1950 in Duluth.  She retired from the ticket office at the DECC.  Eileen was a former member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Morgan Park.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing, traveling abroad, playing Bridge; spending time at the cabin on Big Pequaywan Lake, but most of all, Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary; her husband Richard in 2009; her daughter in law, Cindy DeBoer and her son in law, Larry Bartsias.

Eileen is survived by her children, James (Margaret) DeBoer, Janet DeBoer, Brian DeBoer, Debbie (Jeff) Maida and Kelly “Colleen” Bartsais;

Brothers, Dick Henrichs and Jack (Joan) Bernt; grandchildren, Carrie (Jeromy), Pat (Bonnie) and Katie Natalie) DeBoer, Matt (Jamie), Michelle (Tyler) and Becca DeBoer and Josh (Danyelle), Jake (Kelli) and Joey Maida and 13 ½ great grandchildren.

Eileen’s family would like to thank the staff at Viewcrest Health center for their loving care, especially her favorite, Mark.

Visitation will be Tuesday August 28, from 5-7pm in the Dougherty Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am Wednesday, August 29, at St. Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Rd.
