Elaine Rasmussen

Elaine Jean Rasmussen, 90, of Duluth, died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Chris Jensen Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born in Duluth April 21, 1926 to Ina (Nelson) and Frank W. Lewandowski.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Duluth Heights, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, and was a member of their 55 Plus Club.  She enjoyed bowling at Country Lanes, was a Minnesota Twin fan, and liked to take bus trips with the Plus 55 groups.  She enjoyed fishing with her brother and the Plus 55 club.

Elaine was preceded in death by her first husband Clarence Beaudin, and her second husband Earl J. Rasmussen in 1992; her sisters Frances Helgeton, Patricia Pilcher and Jacqueline Lewandowski; and her brothers Roger and Gordon Lewandowski.

Elaine is survived by her son Tim Rasmussen of Duluth; “granddaughter” Amber Lynn Johnson of Duluth; step-daughter LeAnne (Gary) Patterson of Dows, IA; step-granddaughters Lisa Ziller of Dows, and Angela (Austin) Charlson of Clarion, IA;  step-great granddaughters Harley and Lea Charlson; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation:  Friday, October 7, 2016 from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 151 W. Linden St.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.  If so desired, memorials may be directed to: Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), 60 E. 56th. Street, New York, New York 10022.
