Elizabeth M. "Betty" Tarnowski, 96 of Duluth, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Benedictine Health Center. Betty was born April 13, 1920 in Duluth to Alexander and Wanda Tarnowski. She was a graduate of Central High School. After high School she moved to Fargo and worked at the Pioneer Coffee Co. After several years she moved to Mpls and worked as a bookkeeper for Architectural Contractors. She moved back to Duluth 12 years ago.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Wanda; her sisters, Sr. Eustacia Tarnowski OSB and Alice Cook.
Betty is survived by her brother, Frank (Gert) Tarnowski of Brooklyn Park, MN and her sister, Margie Tarnowski of Duluth and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, Saturday April 30, 2016 at the Benedictine Health Center Chapel, 925 Kenwood Ave., Duluth, MN. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, Duluth, (218) 727-3555.
